Birthday Present

I often tell my family .....you don't need to celebrate my birthday because I'm happy every day. So when I became 44 years old lately in this month, we didn't have a celebration.

But I started to realize I should celebrate my sons' birthday in this month, too. Especially nowadays, my children are saying they are not happy since I don't play with them. Besides I take them to Kapaa Jodo for having them help or sometimes, they come with me for One Day tour on Kauai. I actually didn't pay much attention to children. In addition, I was spending most of my energy to the Bon Dance at Kapaa Jodo Mission. I thought I should spend more time to my children.

This is how I decided to do Youth camping for my children as soon as Bon Dance cleaning was finished. Because of the limited transportation, we only invited three kids in additions to my children.

Camping at Anini Beach was so fun and everybody enjoyed it.

I'm very glad to hear my son said "this is the best birthday present ever!" But now I'm soooooooo exhausted!

They set up tent! Later at night, the tent broke! We had a very hard time to fix it!

On the other hand, this tent from Costco was so excellent. It was super-easy to set up and pretty solid! And of course, it is easy to take down!

Heavy rain! I saw horses ran to...under the tree. This is the best way to do when it rained.

They enjoyed catching sand-crab till midnight. They stayed up late but it should be much better than doing video or computer games.

While they were sleeping...I was actually enjoyed taking photos!

Sunrise at Anini Beach! Next time, I would like to take more kids to the camping.
