There is Nothing Useless!

Nowadays, my wife keeps asking me to lose my weight for the sake of our children. I thought she was thinking of my good health in order for me to live longer, but she meant," if I gained weight, she has to buy another bigger size of my pants. ..."

I thought she was right. My pants actually have been upgraded from the w-size 30 to size 34 during these 15 years and if I lose weight, I don't need to buy new pants, which could be a big saving for the future.   So, I am seriously thinking I should lose my weight this year.  

Speaking of the weight, this morning, I lost a tiny screw for my eyeglasses. I knew it was loosening because my face became a little bigger after gaining weight.  Though I did fix it a few times, I found the screw was gone finally.

In the beginning, I was at a loss since I couldn't guess where it fell down, but soon I recalled two things:

One was my very old sunglasses in my desk. It has been broken for at least 9 years in my desk and I didn't know for what I could use this piece of junk in the future. But all of a sudden, I thought it could be useful for my current eyeglasses. My guess was right.

I was able to reuse the old screw.  I think many people throw things away when they don't need any more or when the things were broken. But once it were thrown away, it shall be trash and it will never come back again for the resources.  But if you can keep it, it might be something useful in the future....

Now I am soooooooooo happy that I was able to reuse the screw of broken sunglasses I kept for 9 years.  It is my strong belief that everything is supposed to be useful. There is nothing useless.   In many cases, it's hard to tell for what it is useful, but I believe it's my job to find it out. Needless to say, every single person is supposed to be useful! I'd be very happy that if I can help making people feel they are useful!

By the way, another thing I recalled was useful memo about easy eyeglass protection that I got from Mr. Mark Nakamura, some time ago. I didn't try this yet but it  says, Easy eyeglass protection... To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear Nail Polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.
